POSITION: Contract Software Engineer

Meggitt Training Systems, Inc. (formerly FATS, Inc.) has immediate on-site real-time applications software development opportunities. We are located in Suwanee GA. Software is used in weapons simulators that train military and law enforcement personnel.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop object-oriented, real-time applications software in C++ on Windows platform plus C# / WPF UI development.
• Software programming and development of documentation
• Creating the software and then fine-tuning (debugging) the final program after it has been developed

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years design/development of real-time applications software,
• BS/MS degree in engineering or computer science.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident,
• Strong C++ knowledge and coding skills
• Strong C# / WPF UI experience.
• Good knowledge of computer graphics (CryEngine or other game engine).
• Good mathematical skills in 3D math & physics
• Good knowledge of game design and 3D authoring tools and DDS.
• Good problem-solving and software design skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of the full software development lifecycle

Added Skills Desired

• Advanced degree in engineering or computer science, highly-ranked school,
• UML experience, Rational Rose, StarTeam, Simulation experience,
• Development using IEEE/EIA 12207 standard,
• Strong DirectX, and OpenGL, experience in game development or image generation
• Experience with scripting languages
• Knowledge of simulation/serious games
• Knowledge of AI, HTML, XML, network, test tool and database
